Alan Rosnov  > Other > Inside Intel
All photos in this gallery have been declassified. You will not find any Intel secrets here.
Some of the photos have a yellow or orange light to them. This is due to the lighting in the FAB. That lighting is for the safety of the wafers. If you remember printing photos from old emulsion film, then you remember the dark red lighting to protect the paper.
This is the same theory.

Alan Rosnov > Everyone carries a badge with their name on it. Everyone else has their real name on it, and yes, this is my badge. D2 stands for Development 2. We developed most of the great microprocessors in the 90's and up until 2005.
Alan Rosnov > An open chamber on a Hitachi 712 Etcher, about to be cleaned.
Alan Rosnov > Yes, that's me hiding behind the mask, scrubbing the chamber.

Alan Rosnov > After we scrub the chamber, we have to wipe it out with wipes and water. This was the first wipe, or the "Before" picture.
Alan Rosnov > This is the "After" photo. The wipes must come out as clean as when I pulled it out of the bag.
Alan Rosnov > Mario is cleaning the Transfer module.
Alan Rosnov > A nice clean chamber, about to be reassembled.
